Handcrafted solid silver spoon ring made from an antique silver spoon.

This beautiful ring has a contemporary feel with its clean edges and smooth lines. The original hallmark is on the handle and the certificate from The Assay Office which accompanies the ring confirms the Hallmarking date to be Sheffield 1931 - it's 90 years old!

The ring measures 22.6 mm at the highest point and 2.4 mm at the lowest point and weighs 7.1 g.


Spoon rings originated in 17th century England and were originally used as wedding rings. Servants could not afford to have wedding rings made of precious metals so they would steal the silverware from the manor houses and have them turned into wedding rings. For a time you could tell who the servants were working for by the crest on their rings.
