Handcrafted solid silver spoon ring made from an antique silver spoon.
This beautiful ring has a contemporary feel with its clean edges and smooth lines. The original hallmark is on the reverse of the handle and the certificate from The Assay Office which accompanies the ring confirms the Hallmarking date to be Sheffield 1921 - it's exactly 100 years old!
Each ring will be accompanied by a change of use certificate from The Assay Office and comes boxed and ready to give as a gift.

The ring measures 22 mm at the highest point and 2.9 mm at the lowest point and weighs 9.3 g.
Spoon rings originated in 17th century England and were originally used as wedding rings. Servants could not afford to have wedding rings made of precious metals so they would steal the silverware from the manor houses and have them turned into wedding rings. For a time you could tell who the servants were working for by the crest on their rings.
