Handcrafted solid silver spoon ring made from an antique silver spoon.
This beautiful ring has pretty beaded pattern across the front on what would have been the handle of the spoon. It bears the original hallmark underneath the handle so it's hidden from view however, the certificate from The Assay Office which accompanies the ring confirms the Hallmarking date to be Sheffield 1913 - it's 108 years old!
Each ring will be accompanied by a change of use certificate from The Assay Office and comes boxed and ready to give as a gift.
Available sizes can be enlarged slightly upon request.
The ring measures 24mm at highest point and 3.2mm at lowest point and weighs 7g
Spoon rings originated in 17th century England and were originally used as wedding rings. Servants could not afford to have wedding rings made of precious metals so they would steal the silverware from the manor houses and have them turned into wedding rings. For a time you could tell who the servants were working for by the crest on their rings.
