Handcrafted solid silver spoon ring made from the hand engraved handle of an antique sterling silver spoon.

This beautiful ring has a delicate bright cut pattern* which adds an extra sparkle as the light catches it. 

It bears the  original hallmark inside the ring and the certificate from The Assay Office which accompanies the ring confirms the Hallmarking date to be Sheffield 1910 - it's 111 years old!

The ring measures 12.8mm at highest point and 3.3mm at lowest point and weighs 7.6g


Spoon rings originated in 17th century England and were originally used as wedding rings. Servants could not afford to have wedding rings made of precious metals so they would steal the silverware from the manor houses and have them turned into wedding rings. For a time you could tell who the servants were working for by the crest on their rings.
