This stunning handcrafted antique solid silver bangle is made from a set of antique sterling silver sugar tongs. The original nature inspired pattern with leaves and tendrils form a raised pattern covering the majority of the piece.
It bears the original hallmarks on the inside and the certificate from The Assay Office which accompanies the bangle confirms the original date of manufacture to be Sheffield 1902 - it's 119 years old!
It was made in the Reign of George V.
These are antique and as a result often have signs of a life well-lived which forms part of their character.

Spoon rings originated in 17th century England and were originally used as wedding rings. Servants could not afford to have wedding rings made of precious metals so they would steal the silverware from the manor houses and have them turned into wedding rings. For a time you could tell who the servants were working for by the crest on their rings.
